This truly is the challenge we face on a daily basis. Both of these mistakes stem from a fear of failure. It’s old, so it’s probably not good any more. If we do it, we might fail. It’s new, so it’s probably risky. If we do it we might fail. We've bought into the notion that "Failure is Not an Option" (from 'The Right Stuff')when failure can be our muse. Miss Frizzle in "The Magic School Bus" series of children's books encouraged us to "Take Chances; Make Mistakes". If we never do anything new, we're doomed to be haunted by potential.
