Are you taking care of yourself?
It's important. When you don't, stress and anxiety can get the better of you, lowering the quality (and quantity) of your work -- and sometimes undermining your health.
Here are some self-care tips from the Publication Coach blog, at 15 ways I'll be indulging in self-care over the holidays:
- Get more sleep
- Eat better
- Drink lots of water
- Connect with friends
- Take a bath
- Get more exercise
- Put down your phone
- Get yourself outside
- Read a novel or a short story
- Listen to a podcast or audio book
- Declutter something
- Give your eyes a break
- Check your breathing
- Learn something new
- Do nothing!
The main thing is this: You have to choose taking care of yourself by consciously taking actions like these. It doesn't just happen!
But stress does just happen. It's up to you to take care of you.
