Badmouthing your donor to their face?

View from my email inbox:

On the left is the sender name. On the right, the subject line.

It's from a political fundraiser.

Apparently they hope I'll leap to my own defense by opening their message to tell them, "Yes, I recycle!"

Strong open rate? Maybe.

The right way to connect with someone who hope to be building a relationship with? I doubt it.
